As Ionhar awoke he saw that the alphas were having a meeting and that they were giving him sidelong glances. He figured they were talking about him but decided to join in the meeting anyways.

Saira woke up to the sunshine of the day, her fur was warm and she was ready to hunt. She noticed a meeting of the alpha wolves, and she drug her old bones to eve's drop. Dropping her interests, she decided instead to hunt for some grub.... after a few hours, she returned. She had brought back 3 animals, all 3 of them were deer. Not many wolves could track and kill a deer, but she had the skill to do so. "Phew..." she panted, exhausted from taking down these beasts. The pups ran up and began to dig in, and she relaxed for a while. It was not long before Nienna was out and about as well, waiting for the days journey to come to a start. She was planning on going out in the forest for a walk that day, to see what she could find. She enjoyed going for walks. However, she was feeling rather down that day, almost like she was catching a cold from the night before. "Good morning Saira." she said, praising her for bringing in the meals, "Thank you for the food!" Saira bowed her head, "Anything for my kin." she replied.

As the meeting of the alphas ended Ionhar walked over to where Saira and Nienna were eating. He started digging into the delicious deer. As he was eating he decided to take a shot and see if Nienna wanted to take a walk through the forest together. "Nienna," Ionhar said, "would you like to take a walk through the forest with me today?"

Isythia watched the wolves take to their morning activities with the calm of one who has experienced the same cycle for so long that no one else arounds truly remembers the start. She was the second eldest among the wolves, and few, even the young alphas neglected to give her the respect her age demanded. The only one older than her was her brother. He would die in the coming winter. They both knew it. So for now, he was fading away from the pack, slowly letting them accept his sister as the eldest. Isythia did not mind. She watched the young, wild alphas argue. It was past time they found a leader, to guide the pack. Ionhar, the eldest of the alphas, would have been a good choice, but for now he seemed to be unable to stand up o he young ones without a mate. Sad thing that. Most of the young alphas had too much hunt and too little leading of the pack in their heads. She watched the pups play, happily in the morning light, cheerfully having forgotten the rain already. Isythia's face twitched ino one of her rare, caring smiles. The younges of the pack would grow up to be strong. Such was the way of everything. Nienna... the young caring female, who looked after the pups so often. She was good for the pack, Isythia thought to herself. And he there was Saria, the young hunter. Talented, but too independent. Much like she had been in her own young days, prefering to hunt alone. She looked around. The forest was wet after the rain, but this day smelled like sun. She liked the sun more than most wolves. It appealed strongly to the burning fire inside her. Once, her greatest pride had been her ability to fell her prey with burning strikes from her paws, as easily as other wolves worked with their teeth. Today she knew better. The hunt was enthralling, but it was not the task of the eldest to lead the hunt. She knew the forest better than any of the others, having moved with the pack from the edge of the mountains when she was young, and past the lake around the time when the current alpha candidates where pups. She relaxed in the morning sun, her dark black pelt sparkling with the bronze hairs tha were normally invisible. After a short while, she stood, slowly pacing her way towards Ionhar, deciding that it was time for him to seek the advice of his elders, whether he would take them or not. She was known to have a temper after all, and wouldn't let that characteristic fade just because of old age. Sometimes the young ones needed a good snapping after. Noticing his words to Nienna, she stopped at a distance, within earshot, and watched two of the alpha candidates fight in playful training as she listened. It was good that the candidating alphas praciced their strength. The pack needed a strong leader.

As Gregor practiced his fighting skills with one of his other alphas he saw that old bag of bones Ionhar walk up to Nienna. Nienna was supposed to be his girl not Ionhars. "I'm gonna have to do something about this!" He thought to himself. "I have to have Ni if i wanna be alpha!"

((Good to know I am the center of attention for Alphas hahaha BTW...my walk in the forest is going to entail the following : finding Kenji and adoption him.))
Nienna's hears twitched when she heard Ionhar's voice, as her head was down in the carcass of the deer. She sniffed, bringing her snout up from the body, and cocked her head. "A walk?" she questioned...She was after all looking to go for a walk in the woods, and she would like company. "Umm.." she said hesitantly, looking at the pups - - It was her turn to baby sit the pups, and for her to shirk her responsibilities made her feel and look awful. Her eyes focused on the young every day of her life... but after thinking, she decided that maybe she could find a replacement, "Well," she replied, "I am currently suppose to be watching the pups..." then paused, "But I can try my hardest to find a replacement!" a look of joy creased her face, her white fur getting brisked by the cold wind - she seemed to not even mind. With that, she ran to the mother den and requested assistance. Saira, having over heard all of the conversation decided that even this young wolf should have some time off. "Nienna." she called, "I will take your shift." Nienna had a look of suprise on her face, "Really Saira? Are you sure....? If you are not up to it, I couldn't ask you to --" Saira interrupted her mid-sentence, "Child, go. I have watched over many pups in my days, there is nothing I cannot handle. " She then bowed her head, and Nienna nodded in reply...She then walked to Ionhar's side, "Shall we go for a walk?" she said cheerfully, padding her paws on the snow.

"Yes...Yes we shall." Ionhar replied happily. They started walking slowly through the woods. As they walked they talked about the future of the pack. The further they got through the woods the closer and happier they got. Finally it got to the point where they were just goofing off. "Wanna race?" Ionhar asked playfully.

As Grey watched Ionhar approach Nienna he started getting jealous. Then as he watched Ni and Ionhar leave together to presumably walk through the woods he got so mad and so jealous that he almost ran after them. As he restrained himself from running after them and just kept on sparring with his fellow young alphas.

Nienna laughed, "I am not very good at races." she digressed, "I'm rather clumsy, I will fall if I race!" She was looking around at the scenery, everything was so peaceful in the woods. Her blue eyes searched the forest for anything out of the ordinary whenever a branch would crack. She was light as a feather, never making sounds as she walked. Silent as a wolf, so they say. Her white fur made her almost invisible in the snow, but against tress she was not as hard to see. There was less breeze in the woods, and her very thick fur was becoming more and more warm and comfortable. She then smiled at Iongar, "So how is the Alpha thing going?" she asked, "I never much cared for Alphas...they are always so...pusy and insensitive towards the pups. I fear they are a bad influence."

"Fine then no race it is." Ionhar said. "Alpha in not coming along very well. It is my last chance and if I don't find a willing and suitable mate I will not even have a chance." He voiced quietly. "As for the pups I agree the other alphas are so rude to them. I loved the way you stood up to Gregan yesterday. I would never have pushed the pups around like that." Nienna was just beautiful as she walked through the forest with him. Her beauty and the beauty of the forest made for quite a nice walk.
