"Yeah..." she muttered, "Something about a family reunion?" Sarah put her index finger to her cheek, not exactly sure what was happening at the moment. She wasn't even sure if that was the reason that Natalie left. Exhausted, she signed, feeling like she was going to fall asleep at that very moment. Once the detective left, she would head upstairs and ready herself for bed, since she had to be up at 6 a.m. again... Work was going to be hard with one person missing.

"Family reunion...ok..." Hugo scribbled a few more notes onto his pad, deciding it would be best if he would swing by sometime tomorrow or later in the week to get some better answers from Sarah. She looked totaled and to be honest, she probably didn't need his kind of questioning at this point. He had dealt with enough people to know that if you pressed too hard at the wrong time, bad things started to happen. The detective reached into his pocket and gave her a slightly crumpled card, saying: "My card. Once you're ready, give me a call and we can talk further. I have my cell phone with me at all times so you shouldn't have a problem reaching me." He gave her a sympathetic smile, continuing: "Get some rest, Sarah. We'll talk later." And with that, he left.
By the time Hugo got inside his apartment, Lisa was already asleep, curled up on the couch with a blanket and a piece of paper lying next to her that read upon closer examination: "Slept early tonight. Good kid. Talk about pay raise?" Gina, the twenty one year old baby sitter he had hired was already lobbying for a raise. He put the note down, then put a hand on his daughter's face, the eight year old stirring slightly. Hugo smiled, kissing her on the forehead before he left for his own room.
The phone rang a few moments after Hugo had changed, startling the detective somewhat. He should have been used to calls in the dead of night. He scrambled to pick it up, barely managing to make sure it didn't go to voicemail: "Douglass." "Did you talk to the girl?" "Yeah." "Any luck?" "Not yet. I'm working on it." "As you should be."

Sarah had managed to get up to her room by that point, skipping her shower and just all together passing out on her soft bed. She did not have the best dreams that night... She dreamed over and over about finding Natalie's dead body - all of which were in different places in her dreams. In one dream she had, everywhere she turned there was Natalie, and eventually her turns lead her to a standing body that was 3 inches from her nose. She didn't stick in that dream to hear what the living dead had to say, and woke up with a half scream. Clinging to her pillow, she decided she needed to take a shower after all - at 4 a.m. The shower was strange..She had never been alone in the apartment/company before. It was so large, and though the door between the apartment steps and the bakery was very thick and well enforced, she still worried. Sarah had about 3 locks on her door that night, the security systems were on downstairs and up. She was freaking out.
